Nick Till's Debut... With Integrix 4.5X28

Orange Blossom Regional 2025
The Orange Blossom Across the Course Regional is a set of High Power matches hosted by the NRA in Palm Bay, Florida at the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club. Across the Course competitions involve shooting service rifle and assorted platforms at distances of 200, 300, and 600 yards, in offhand, sitting, and prone positions. This year the ATC ran from March 8th to 16th followed by mid-range matches concluding the 22nd.
Nick Till's Debut
Nick Till's no newbie to the competition circuit - he's been shooting Across the Course for over 35 years and is one of the best shooters out there, taking the 2007 National Service Rifle Champion title civilian division.

We've known Nick and his father Don at Shamrock in Howell for years and when we began constructing our new Integrix 4.5X28 Service Rifle scope on our high performance line, we knew the Till's, who used to dominate the range as the Till Team, were the ones to test it out. In April we will be completing production testing for our 4.5X28 Service Rifle scope to launch this summer.
Besides, he's been shooting High Power since 1988. We had to help Nick Till keep things fresh! On February 11 we got a fixed 4.5X prototype completed fresh off the assembly line and gave Nick a call to come pick it up. While we were at it, it didn't hurt to outfit him with a Leapers AR built using a UTG Pro billet receiver set we machine here in Livonia.
His Setup
Nick's been using a March 1-4.5X scope for 8 years with a crosshair and dot. This time around he tested out the Integrix A4 MOA reticle, with an 8 MOA inner diameter circle and a .75 minute dot. After only a couple weeks to zero in, Michigan was giving breezy freezing temperatures so any additional practice at his regular 600 yd range outdoors was tough to weather. He took off to competition with the AR barely broken in but was enjoying the 34mm tube and larger field of view with threaded lens reducer. Time to see what moving from a dot to an aperture reticle would do for him!

His final setup:
Krieger Barrel
Weighted Geissele Free Float
Geissele Trigger
Integrix 4.5X28 Service Rifle Scope Prototype with our Threaded Lens Reducer
Geissele Mount
Magpul UBR Stock
And, of course, the essential and stylish Leapers hat to shield his eagle eyes from the sun.
The Result
Nick Till isn't a man of many words, so to get a feeling I'll lead with the results! He took the range by storm - though not literally, conditions were sunny and in the 70's in Florida at the OBR, a nice break from freezing Michigan weather.
His results from the Orange Blossom Regional:
Winning team of the ATC 4-Man One & Done Team Match
Winning team of the ATC 2-Man Team Match
Winning team of the ATC 4-Man Team Match
Tied 1st place in the CMP EIC (LEG) Match
3rd Service Rifle in the OBR Regional
According to Nick, the biggest highlight was winning the 2-Man Team Match with past National Champion Kenny Langford, with a score of 987-51X. Nick almost beat his personal best that week with a 497-25X (99.4) percent.

He cleaned 17 out of 20 rapid fire strings and sold his March scope after returning home to Michigan from the OBR in Florida. (We think that last part speaks for itself!)
Stay tuned as we hit the range throughout the year and get more of these new Integrix scopes out there on the range. In the meantime, always happy to hear from the Service Rifle community and boy was it rewarding to see the smile on Sam's face when he won the Integrix 1-8X28 last weekend!
