UTG PRO P.O.I Rings Add a New Low Profile Option
UTG PRO P.O.I Rings
UTG PRO P.O.I two-piece scope rings are our proven go-to from building large platform ARs, to precision bolt guns or hunting setups. The POI line is the premier mounting solution that we make at the PRO factory at headquarters in Michigan, and we are finally returning to launch a low profile set. The low profile Picatinny center height will come in 1 inch or 25 mm, machined here in USA.
Our patented P.O.I locking plate features dual spring-loaded guide rods with a square-shaped recoil stop for ultimate recoil stopping power, so you never lose your zero. No compromises on the most important tolerances, and priced at just $69.97 MSRP in 2025, to continue giving back to the customer.
We machine PRO POI rings from a single piece of 6061-T6 Aluminum using Palletec-automated Mazak HCN4000 horizontal milling machines. By machining your top ring, bottom ring, and picatinny interface in 1 operation we ensure your inner diameter is circular with tight tolerance inner diameters, and centered atop your picatinny rail when mounted.
We offer a full range of heights across 1 inch, 30 mm, and 34 mm tube sizes. POI rings are rated for .50 BMG with hundreds of rounds of recoil endurance testing and drop testing to ensure your zero holds. Both Picatinny and Dovetail versions are designed to fit Mil-spec 1913 rails.

Hitting the Long Distance Course at FTW Ranch
In a world where integral mounts give the shooter a certain assurance, a precision set of 2-piece rings remain an important staple for precision bolt gun applications, hunting setups, and airguns. UTG PRO P.O.I rings are well-loved behind-the-scenes by professional hunters, extreme long range shooters out West, deer hunters in the North of Michigan, and airgunners looking for their next trick shot.
In August we put ourselves and our POI rings to the test yet again. We took a group of 8 across Marketing, Sales, and Product Engineering to join the marksmen at FTW Ranch and brush up on our precision long range shooting with Sportsman’s All Weather All-Terrain Marksmanship (SAAM). The FTW facility and staff was truly above and beyond, and we made memories for life from the canyons and brush of the range to the bar back at the lodge. It was a marksman's dream, complete with over 12,000 acres, 35 ranges, and multiple ranges extending out to 3,600 yards. Unheard of here in the South of Michigan where we're from.
Our team brought the heat with a veritable arsenal: a Barret MRAD, Christensen Arms MPR, Sako S20, Bergara HMR Pro, Daniel Defense Delta 5, and Tikka T3X, all in 6.5, all with precision INTEGRIX® scopes mounted in UTG PRO® P.O.I® 2-piece rings. We spent 4 days verifying try dope, conducting Kestrel calculations, practicing point blank range and speed drops, and accounting for a full slate of environmental factors from aerodynamic jump, spin and wind drift, and Coriolis effect.
On the second day we were shooting 1,800 yards with ease, aided by long range 3-18X44, 4.5-27X56, and 6-36X56 Integrix optics and their Christmas tree reticles. By the end of the trip the team put their firearms and their skills to the test in an all-out contest called the 100% Hair in the Scope Drill: 20 shots across different distances and speed courses with timed follow-up shots. One of the team (It's me, Margaret Ding!) held a near-perfect score with one miss, just losing out the chance to make FTW history. Only 5 shooters since 2016 have held the perfect score.
That said, the shooter can attest to the fact that the single miss was due to an over-enthusiastic wind call. No notes on equipment. The UTG PRO® P.O.I® platform demonstrated its reliability yet again, and at under $70 in price, an unsung hero in engineering against riflescopes and firearms adding up to over $7,000 in a single build.
The UTG PRO® Brand
Leapers broke ground on our UTG PRO manufacturing plant at headquarters in Livonia, Michigan back in 2009. It was a planful long-term investment in enforcing full vertical integration for our product development lifecycle and end-to-end control and resiliency. 2009 was just one year after the financial crisis and pre-Trump era, during a time when most of the manufacturing properties in the neighborhood were going bankrupt or up for sale. Piece by piece, we built out our machine floor with state-of-the-art CNC and polymer injection machines.
We make UTG PRO products here in the USA. UTG PRO products are solution driven to fuse form and function, distilled into what is truly critical for the discerning citizen. Here we push the product to address that last 5%, where the difference is in the details. All the while upholding a focus on what's truly needed for the customer, from real functionality to transparent pricing. The UTG PRO true ambidextrous receiver set and UTG PRO handguards for MP5 are proud examples, all Michigan-made.
UTG PRO POI rings are a prime example of the value of an integrated development process, allowing us to deliver a high quality precision product with a price that gives back to the customer. In 2025 we are updating our Picatinny 2-piece rings to include this new low profile SKU.
Stay tuned... we are planning to add a rock solid integral mount to the UTG PRO POI line in coming months!
